The SafeGrand Fall Detector is a supervised wireless fall detector that functions both as a standard manual emergency alert button and as a fall detector which automatically triggers a call to SafeGrand Emergency Care Centre for immediate help. The fall detection is enabled by a built-in tilt sensor that can sense when the detector, which is worn by the user, tilts at more than 60° , for more than a predefined period of time (Programmable). This activates an alert signal to the console which notifies SafeGrand's Emergency Care Centre to dispatch help immediately.

An easy to use, all-in-one solution, it enables you to alert SafeGrand's Emergency Care Centre in the event of a personal emergency so that you can get immediate response - all with just one click of a button or automatically if you fall. Audible and visual indications occur at the Console when activated and signals can be received from multiple wireless pendants.
The risk of falling is an ongoing concern for anybody with impaired balance or mobility and it increases with age. It poses a particularly significant health risk for seniors, even those in good general health, as a fall can lead to serious injury. More than half of all falls take place within the home, making the SafeGrand Fall Detector an ideal solution for reliable fall detection and alert.

An emergency alarm can be triggered by the large HELP button on the Console, a wireless pendant or automatically if you fall. To simplify operation, the Console speaks to the subscriber with its built-in digitally synthesized voice. The Console will say "emergency", "power failure", "call being placed" and supervisory prompts from the consoles word vocabulary. If necessary, the voice option can be disabled.
The Console performs 2-way voice activated audio communications through the Console's built-in high-sensitivity microphone and speaker. Communications with SafeGrand's Emergency Care Centre monitoring personnel starts after an alarm. Two-way communications can also be started without any subscriber action. An authorized individual may call the Console from any touchtone telephone and activate two-way voice communications by keying in a password after placing the call.
As a special feature, the SafeGrand Fall Detector Console can record and play up to eight 16 customizable audio reminder messages. The reminder messages can be used to help the subscriber remember to take medications.
The Console also acts as a remote controlled "speakerphone". The Console will monitor the telephone line for an incoming call. Activating any emergency pendant (or the Console's HELP button) while the telephone is ringing will answer the call and begin speakerphone communications. Pressing the pendant (or HELP button) during the call will disconnect the line.
The SafeGrand Fall Detector is powered by a low voltage plug-in transformer; The Console has a rechargeable backup battery for operation during AC power outages. If the plug-in transformer is removed from the power outlet or the backup battery becomes low, the POWER light will flash and the condition will be reported to the SafeGrand's Emergency Care Centre.
